Insurance pay outs for totals are usually pretty nice if you have a decent policy. I totaled my Mazda P5 when I was 17, got almost 3 k over kbb for it.

My friend’s Porsche got stolen and when he asked the police what was the likelihood of getting it back they said, none. They said it was either already in pieces, or else on a boat to South America.
